The village and parish name of ‘Dymock’ where Hunts Court Farm is situated means ‘obscured by oaks’. Dymock is still noted for its fine quality oaks and the Forestry Commission harvest acorns here by the ton for growing on.

Hunts Court Farm was once the home to a wheelwrights, builders and carpenters. The old sawpit which was used to supply the business with its raw material has been restored. Luckily there are still some fine oaks left on the property.
