Abergavenny Food Festival

15th September 2016

This week, on 17th and 18th we'll be travelling a short distance down the A40 to attend this year's Abergavenny Food Festival. In addition to presenting our produce, I am honoured to be hosting a talk, "Charles Martell: Rooted in Gloucestershire" and will be speaking about the history of my family farm in Dymock and giving a taste of our range of hard and soft cheese and spirits. Abergavenny Food Festival dates back to 1999 and has seen a significant rise in attendance through the years, now making it one of Britain's leading food and drink festivals attracting around 30,000 people from across the UK. We've attended the festival before, and were so impressed with the passionate audience looking to engage and learn; we're thrilled to be returning. After the fantastic year we've had here in Gloucester, we will be encouraging everyone to try the very best cheeses Gloucestershire has to offer, including our favourite Stinking Bishop and our new one - Slack ma' Girdle! We will also have our full range of spirits, including two new ones since the last visit Poireau and Dymock Brandy.

As a proud champion of Gloucester produce, I'm delighted to be returning to Abergavenny Food Festival again this year. It's been well documented, my affection for Gloucestershire produce and the festival allows me to wave the flag for the best that this special county has to offer.
