Gloucester Black Kidney Potato
The story goes that there was a train wreck in Hawkesbury Upton during the 19th Century. Local people found some black potatoes on board, rifled them, grew them on and named them. This variety is still grown in Gloucestershire today including on our farm. The old people of Gloucestershire make sure they have a ‘feed’ of these potatoes on Christmas day.
Gloucester Champion Cauliflower
We have heard of this being a Gloucestershire variety but have no further information.
Wheelers Imperial Cabbage
We have grown this variety from time to time on the farm and were able to buy seed via the internet.
